“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far,
“It is more blessed to give than to receive” -ACTS 20:35
I started my working career at McDonalds on Broadway across from Park Mall where I met my beautiful bride Barbara of more than 28 years.
Later I spent 7 years working with my father at Snoopy’s Flight school teaching hundreds of people to fly small airplanes. During these years I discovered my love for teaching as well as the benefits and heartaches of owning a small business. After working many evenings and every holiday, Barb and I decided it was time to find a career where I could be home to help raise the children.
I started in the financial services industry in April of 1993 with Prudential Insurance. My last year at Prudential! was ranked 59th out of more than 10,000 insurance agents. I decided after 7 years working at Prudential to join Paine Webber, which later bought UBS and changed my focus to more securities related work. I was ranked number 1in my Training class. During this time at UBS I recalled the advantages of owning a small business and decided to start one in 2005.
Being in a small business can be truly challenging yet immensely satisfying. GR Financial has allowed me to work with truly incredible people. We are not driven by some mandate on high and can happily help clients every day. After turning 50, I realized that I am having more fun today than I have ever had. I believe that if I continue to work with such caring people and clients that I am proud to call friends that this journey will continue to be incredible.
I look forward to many more years of educating and “giving” to the incredible clients we have been blessed to serve.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’- Martin Luther King, Jr.
When it comes to my career and working with people, I cannot make the market go up or down. I cannot control all of the economic issues we face day to day, but I can have a plan to navigate through it all while offering guidance and assistance. I want to give people the best opportunity I possibly can to achieve their goals according to their values. I want them to feel comfortable knowing that they have someone on their side supporting them. I love doing what I do!
I have been in the financial industry since 1998. I have dedicated my time over the years growing in a variety of roles. I have worked as an intern, a licensed sales assistant, an operations manager, a Chief Compliance Officer, eventually shifting gears a bit and moving into a more dedicated role as a financial advisor, and now as a co-owner of my advisory firm GR Financial Group, LLC. By being able to utilize both my experience in operations and as a financial advisor; it has allowed me to continue to help grow our firm in a positive direction alongside our amazing GR Team.
I have seen and learned an awful lot over the years. I love talking to my husband and sharing with him the dreams we have for ourselves and our two beautiful girls. I aspire to someday be in the same position as my clients who feel really great about their future and retirement, knowing they will be okay. It makes what can be considered a very stressful career that much more rewarding.

Now I know what you’re thinking, this guy doesn’t have a single grey hair on his head. How could he possibly know anything about investing or financial planning? Well, while that first statement may be true, I’ve been working in the financial field for the past eight years with an incredible team that has over 60 years of experience. I graduated from a top 15 business school at the Eller College of Management, and I also hold both my securities, and life and health insurance license.
Despite this background, my number one priority is to make sure my clients are cared for in all aspects of their financial lives. I want them to know that despite what the market may throw at us, I will do everything in my power to ensure they are able to live the lives that they desire. I believe that those who are the most successful in this world are those who serve and add more value to others than anyone else. While I may not have all of the answers, this is the framework through which I operate.
Outside of my career, the most important aspects of my life are my faith, my relationships, and my health. I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, as well as pursuing different ways to improve my health and fitness. I also happen to be a huge fan of the Super Bowl LII winning Philadelphia Eagles. Go birds!
I look forward to connecting with you soon!
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”- Martin Luther King, Jr.
The most important aspects of my life are my faith, family, and career. I love working at GR Financial Group because these are intertwined in everything I do. I graduated with highest academic distinction from The University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, and have been working in the financial industry since 2010.
My favorite part about working at GR Financial Group is the ability to help people reach their financial goals. At the end of the day, the financial industry is not simply about numbers on a page, but rather the relationships that are developed along the way. If I’m not in the office, you will probably find me at a Wildcats football game, or spending time with my wife. I look forward to the incredible journey that awaits me, and the relationships that will be built along the way.

I am the accounting specialist for GR Financial Group, and am responsible for paying our bills, paying our employees, and invoicing our clients. As well, I am a licensed investment advisor representative and I facilitate trading activities in our client accounts. I’ve worked in the investment advisory services business since 2008 and feel blessed to work with such a great group of people.
Before coming to GR Financial Group, I was a stay-at-home mom caring for my two children. Prior to staying home with the kids I enjoyed a 13 year career at Computer Sciences Corporation starting as a secretary, then a financial analyst, and finally as a procurement representative. While working I also attended college and graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Accounting.
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” – Mother Teresa
I am the front line of the GR team, with a specialty in customer service. This first started from my days of working at Tucson Airport Authority. During that time, I encountered people from all over the country; some famous and some not. It was then that I discovered that people of all kinds wanted the same thing, which is to be treated with respect and kindness. My appreciation for people grew and continues to deepen through my career. On a memorable note, I will never forget John Travolta, who flew his own Gulfstream, walking into the private aviation terminal late one night… talk about star struck!!! Also, for you football fans, I had the privilege of meeting Walter Payton, which is one of the many autographs I still have today.
After getting married and having my first child, I entered the business in 1997 as a receptionist for a large brokerage firm. Within a couple of months, I was promoted to Cashier in the Operations area. My main responsibility was to handle all monetary transactions for an entire office of twenty five brokers and fifteen assistants as well the clients. I was then cross-trained as a Wire Operator and responsible for processing trade orders, trade corrections, and trade errors. Working in operations, I gained my experience of compliance for this heavily regulated industry.
Ten years later, I was invited to join the team as their Administrative Assistant. This was a side of the business I had not yet fulfilled, but was ready for the challenge. In the nine years here, I have discovered that I absolutely love my team, but most importantly my clients. I will always strive to provide excellent customer service with a smile.
I was born in California, but I have lived in Tucson my whole life; it is my home. I am happily married to a wonderful hard-working man of twenty two years and the mother of a very good daughter and son. I live for my family. God has and continues to bless me every day as I walk the path of my journey in life.
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney
My background is mainly in customer service, spending over five years in various roles in the hospitality industry. Over that time, I worked in numerous roles within two resorts in Tucson, ending my time in the industry as a Group Strategy Manager. I enjoyed working in the hospitality industry but realized it was time for a change. I wanted to learn something new and enter a field where I was able to help others within my community reach their personal goals. I was lucky enough to find a home here at GR working with a fantastic group!
As a Registered Client Service Associate, I work in many different areas within the office. However, my primary focus is working closely with the Investment Advisors in the office to help facilitate in the financial planning process, educational seminars, investment research, and client interface. I also serve as one of the main points of contact when you come into the office or call. I enjoy working alongside our clients to help them navigate our online services, scheduling appointments, or help with any request they may have.
I am a native Tucsonan (other than a couple of years spending in Flagstaff for school) and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Hotel & Restaurant Management. Although it may not sound like I am utilizing that specific degree, I am actually able to apply a lot of what I learned here at GR! Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, my family and friends! I enjoy indoor cycling, working on home improvement projects with my husband and playing with our dog, an energetic and loving English Bulldog named Spike.”
“Whatever you are, be a good one.” -Abraham Lincoln
I am the Chief Compliance Officer at GR Financial Group. Along with being the CCO, I also wear other hats at the office (figuratively because I think I look horrible in a hat). I also help around the office with Money Management, Client Retention, some IT, and comedic relief. I am originally from Oahu, Hawaii but moved when I was young, so Tucson is where I call home.
I have been with this wonderful group of people for over six years now. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. In my spare time I enjoy reading, and spending time with my husband, kids, and friends.
“A life of service is a life well-lived.” – Unknown
I am husband to Donna, my wonderful wife and partner, and father/step-dad to five great teenagers, so life moves quickly in our world. I serve as the Director of Business Development for GR Financial Group, and my role allows me to function as a motivating force to help the team continue to grow. Encouraging a strong company culture that adopts the overall firm’s vision as well as researching and developing tools and resources to use going forward allows us to serve our clients with the highest levels of excellence, appreciation and dedication we possess. In the short time I’ve been with the firm, I’ve come to appreciate the strong and diverse talents and the commitment to Our Team that each person here brings to the office every day.
Prior to joining GR Financial Group, I worked for a large regional company in the service industry for nineteen years, serving as VP of Construction for the last seven-plus. We were an employee-owned company, so when we were bought out by our largest competitor, the culture changed and I felt led to look elsewhere after getting my teams established within the new company. In God’s providence, a review of our own future needs led me down a path that ended here, and a firm belief that this was no accident. I’m thrilled to be involved with such a great group of people and excited about what the future holds for us all.
When not working or raising kids, Donna and I tend to still be busy, either renovating houses we’re planning to rent, or hiking in the Catalinas. I love running and biking, and appreciate the beauty all around me when I get to do any of these things. Best times are spent around a fire or by the pool with my family. God is good, and we’re grateful.
“Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.” C. S. Lewis
I bring to GR Financial more than 25 years of growing and improving small businesses. I have always been a bit of an entrepreneur, starting my first business at the age of ten, and it wasn’t a lemonade stand. I enjoy looking at how things work and seeing how I can improve the process and make things more productive. I am the Compliance Associate, IT Security Associate and Organizational Development Associate at the firm. Because I love working with people, problem solving, and making procedures, I am well-suited for my positions in the firm.
When I am not at work, I enjoy time with my wife and two daughters hiking, playing a game, or watching a good movie. One of my many talents is being able to build things. My last project was moving a few walls at our house and making a reading nook for my wife and daughters.
